Local Konnect – Cancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy governs the terms under which users may cancel bookings made through the Local Konnect Customer App. It applies to all service categories offered on the platform, including but not limited to salon services, parcel delivery, taxi ride bookings, and car/bike wash services.
1. General Cancellation Terms
- Users can cancel a booking through the app under the conditions outlined below.
- Each service category may have specific rules due to the nature of the service.
- Refunds (if applicable) are processed in line with our Refund Policy.
2. Time of Cancellation
a. Before Service Initiation
- Cancellations made before the service provider is assigned or before the provider confirms arrival will not incur any cancellation charges.
b. After Service Confirmation but Before Start
- If a service provider has been assigned but has not yet started the journey or task, cancellation may attract a minimal platform charge (usually ₹10–₹50 based on service type).
c. After Provider Arrival or Task Start
- If cancellation occurs after the service provider reaches the location or begins the task, the user may be charged a partial or full service fee depending on the effort or time already spent.
3. Service-Wise Specific Guidelines
a. Salon Services
- Cancel anytime before beautician’s arrival = Partial refund (As per our policy).
- Cancel after arrival or setup = No refund.
b. Parcel Delivery
- Cancel before pickup assigned = Partial refund (As per our policy).
- Cancel after pickup assigned = Partial deduction.
- Cancel after parcel is picked up = No refund.
c. Taxi Ride Bookings
- Cancel before driver accepts = Partial refund (As per our policy).
- Cancel after driver is en route = Platform cancellation fee applies.
- Cancel after driver arrives = Cancellation fee (as per city slab) or minimum ride fare.
d. Car/Bike Wash Services
- Cancel up to 1 hour before scheduled time = Partial refund (As per our policy).
- Cancel within 1 hour = 30% charge.
- Cancel after technician arrival = No refund.
4. No-Show and Missed Appointments
- If the user is not available at the location during the scheduled time, the service may be marked as “No-Show.”
- In such cases, no refund shall be processed.
5. Vendor-Initiated Cancellations
- If a vendor cancels the booking due to unavailability or operational issues, the user will receive a Partial refund (As per our policy).
- Local Konnect will attempt to reassign the booking to another service provider, if possible.
6. Exceptions
- Cancellations due to emergencies (e.g., natural calamities, accidents) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Users must raise a request through Help & Support within 24 hours of cancellation to qualify for special consideration.
7. Process of Cancellation
- Users must cancel through the “Your Orders” section in the app.
- A cancellation confirmation will be sent via SMS/email/app notification.
